PTS Login Issues

PTS INCOMPATIBLE BROWSER ERROR:

If attempting to access the PTS system and you receive a message similar to “Your browser is incompatible. You must have Internet Explorer 4.0 or greater.” See the instructions below.

How to Fix Compatibility Issues Instructions for Windows 7/8 Users:

  • Verify that you are using Internet Explorer 4.0 or greater. If you are, move to the next step.
  • Log out of PTS Systems and Website completely
  • Be sure to add the following web address to your Compatibility View Settings: ptsapp.com
  • To add these websites to your compatibility settings, open a new Internet Explorer Window.
  • Go to Tools.
  • Select Compatibility View Settings.
  • Add the web address and close the Compatibility View Settings box.
  • Hit F5 on your keyboard to refresh the web page. If that doesn’t work hit the refresh button in the search dialog box within your Internet Explorer window.
  • Once the window refreshes, log back into the PTS system. You should now be able to navigate in the system.

How to Fix Compatibility Issues Instructions for Windows 10 Users:

Windows 10 computers come installed with a new defaulted web browser called EDGE. This new browser is NOT compatible with our system at this time. You must take steps in order to change your default web browser to Internet Explorer BEFORE you can access the PTS system or GL Rater.

Part 1: (If you already are using Internet Explorer 4.0 or Greater skip to Part 2)

  • Click Windows Link in bottom left hand corner of the desktop.
  • Click Settings icon in menu
  • Click System icon in the window that appears
  • Select Default Apps and a menu will generate on the right side of the current window.
  • In the right side of the window, scroll down until you see Web Browser. It should say EDGE right now. Click on the Edge link. A menu will appear asking you to choose the default app. Select Internet Explorer.
  • Close this window.
  • Go to the search bar in the bottom left corner of your desktop and type INTERNET EXPLORER. In the top of the search menu it should show Internet Explorer Desktop App. Click this link and Internet Explorer will now open for you.
  • Now, right click anywhere in the Internet Explorer window and select Shortcut to Desktop
  • Continue to Part 2

Part 2:

  • Verify that you are using Internet Explorer 4.0 or greater and not EDGE. If you are using Internet Explorer 4.0 or greater, move to the next step.
  • Verify you are logged out of PTS Systems and Website completely
  • Be sure to add the following web address to your Compatibility View Settings: ptsapp.com
  • To add these websites to your compatibility settings, open a new Internet Explorer Window.
  • Go to Tools.
  • Select Compatibility View Settings.
  • Add the web address and close the Compatibility View Settings box.
  • Hit F5 on your keyboard to refresh the web page. If that doesn’t work hit the refresh button in the search dialog box within your Internet Explorer window.
  • Once the window refreshes, log back into the PTS system. You should now be able to navigate in the system.

ERROR MESSAGE: “You can only have one PTS window running at a time”:

If you get the PTS message saying “You can only have one PTS window running at a time” and you do not see a PTS window open, sometimes Internet Explorer does not close completely and will be running in the background, invisible to you.

A quick and easy way to resolve this issue is to click the link below. It will close any and all Internet Explorer windows your computer has open, including this one. Please make sure that you want to close ALL internet browser windows that are open on your computer before clicking the link below.

You will then be able to log into PTS successfully. After clicking the link follow the prompts to Open the file then Run the file.

Click HERE to close ALL Internet Explorer windows. (Afterwards, open ibgreen.com and log into PTS)
