NON-TROPICAL STORM / HURRICANE CLAIMS PROCEDURES

IBGA Companies handle claims in three different ways. Please check below for the proper method to report a loss for the Company and Product in question.

I. LOSS HANDLED ENTIRELY BY IBGA

If you think you have had a loss please contact your insurance agent located on your insurance policy or
contact your insurance company.

You may also file a loss online on our web page/ibgreen.com look for the File a Claim Online Link.

You will need to have the following information readily available:
• The name of the insured on the policy, the policy number/certificate number and a valid phone number.
• What kind of loss you incurred (theft, wind, fire, water, hail).
• Description of the damage to your property.

What to do in case of a loss:
Please make any repairs necessary to protect your home from any further damage. Take photos before the repairs and save all receipts and do not discard any of the damage materials. Please read over your insurance policy so your familiar with your coverages and that all information on your insurance policy is correct.

Receipt of your loss:
Once your loss has been received by our office, a file will be set up and a claim number will be assigned. An independent adjusting firm will be assigned to the claim. An adjuster from the assigned firm will contact you to set an appointment to inspect the damages at your convenience. Once the inspection is done a copy of the report will be sent to us.

Inspection and Conclusion of your loss:
When the inspection has been completed and we are in receipt of a copy of it, a claims examiner will review the inspection to make sure your claim is covered under your insurance policy and to ensure all coverages that should be afforded are applied to your claim. Once the claim is settled your file will then be closed and no other actions will be performed.

II. LOSS REPORTED TO IBGA – HANDLED BY COMPANY

American Reliable Mobile Home Procedures Florida: (Policy Prefix IGH)

  1. Complete a notice of loss and keep a copy for your file.
  2. Fax OR Email (do not do both) the loss notice with a copy of the “dec” page to IBGA.

  3. After verifying coverage IBGA will forward the notice to the company who will then handle the claim.
  4. If your insured does not hear from an adjuster within 48 hours, please call the status line for assistance at 800-245-1505.

III. LOSS HANDLED ENTIRELY BY COMPANY

The insured may contact the company by phone or you may forward a loss notice and “dec” page to the company using either the fax or email options provided. (Keep a copy for your file).
